The Nelson Community Resource Center is a local community and educational charity organization working to serve the growing needs of the Lauderdale County community. Our mission is to help strengthen the community by supporting events that bring families & the community together and to develop programs that help to improve literacy, education, and career training.

New! K-12 Digital Classroom​

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic & school closings across the country, parents have been looking for resources to keep their child from falling behind. With our digital work packets, parents can now access grade level worksheets, Math/ELA Practice, TCAP/TN Ready Item Samplers, reading logs, & more.

TN Promise Community Service Hours

Need scholarship service hours?

​​Students needing community service hours for their TN Promise or other scholarships may sign up to volunteer to help with our After School Program.

TN Reconnect

Have you missed the TN Promise deadline or have been out of school for a while and desire to go to college or trade school?

If you have started school and want to go back, or you may have missed your opportunity to go to college after graduation and are ready to get started on a career program​​, visit TN Reconnect to discover your options on schools and tuition coverage.

STEM-Coding Initiative

​Interested in your child learning about Computer Science? Learning how to code early on can spark a new learning experience for your child.

Students Participate In the Summer STEM Camp and Engineering Design Competition at the Nelson Resource Center

Pictured Below:  Nelson Resource Center's Executive Director, Johnny Nelson, organized a youth trip for participating students to explore the Memphis Zoo and Pink Palace Museum.

Students took advantage of the opportunity to study science and history and enjoyed the dinosaur exhibition.
